Message #4

What is up with people? Everyday people lie. What's the point? Well anyway, I was thinking about how no one tells the truth about who they are. They always follow the crowd. Why? If there was a new style, people buy it. If there's a new celebrity, people cheer for them. I think that's fine, but do they REALLY enjoy what they are buying? Why spend money just to follow a crowd? Just to get something that will leave in a few months? Do what YOU love.
For example, I had a friend that said they didn't like this one person who I liked. No one enjoys that celebrity anymore, but me. To me, that's OK. Anyway, that person finally admitted to me that she likes that celebrity. I asked her, "Why did you say you didn't like that person?" She shrugged and told me she was scared to admit it in public. PA-THET-IC! Just plain pathetic. I really think that's sad that she lied just because she was scared about what people would think about what she liked. This girl always hung out with the new 'popular' (like I explained in the last message) girls. She wore what others wore. She always followed the new 'style'. She always copied my other friend. Why can't she be herself? What's so bad about that? I didn't want to be a friend to someone who was scared of herself. I didn't want to be a friend to someone who wasn't ever herself. How could I be around her to know her if she didn't even know herself? How sad.
Do things for YOU. NOT anyone else. Don't follow just because. Be yourself. People will want to be around you for YOU, NOT anyone else. I know I repeat words in this message, but it's for a point. Be yourself. People want it. You want it.
